design process

Step 1: Consultation
The process starts with a complimentary consultation. During this consultation, I will gather as much information as possible about you and your project. Afterward, I will present you with a contract. The contract will detail what we’ve discussed, and include deadline dates, as well as the cost of ‘design only’. A 50% deposit is due before the design process can begin.

Step 2: Design Proofs
Upon receiving the signed contract and deposit, I will begin designing the ‘proofs’. Unless otherwise noted, clients are entitled to two (2) proofs. The designs are based on the details gathered at the consultation. Proofs are sent to clients via email in Adobe Acrobat PDF.

Step 3: Revisions
Once clients receive the initial proofs, they are to review them thoroughly. Clients now have the opportunity to compile all edits and feedback. All clients are entitled to two (2) rounds of revisions. Correcting all mistakes at this stage can prevent costly reprints later down the line.

Step 4: Final Proof Approval
Upon receiving client revisions, I will create one final composition for final review. Once the final composition is complete and approved of by the client, clients will be required to sign and return a Final Proof Approval form. This form states that clients have reviewed and approved of the final composition.

If no print production is warranted, clients will receive the final files via email or CD.

If print production is warranted, the client will receive a Production Agreement form. This form details the print request(s), as well as a print estimate. The Production Agreement form must be signed, and the print estimate must be paid in full before client files can be submitted for production.

Step 5: Final Delivery
After all items have been printed, they are sent to the client via UPS or FedEx. Packages are sent 5-7 business day standard, unless express shipping is specified. Clients will receive a tracking number for deliverables. At this time, clients will be sent an invoice noting any remaining account balances. This balance typically includes the remaining cost of design and delivery fees.
